Come and meet us at Big Scrub Day (5 September)

We will have a stall at Big Scrub Rainforest Day at the Alstonville Showground on the 5th of September.  Come and meet some of our carers, and find out more about wildlife rehabilitation. We will also have cards and magnets with our phone number so that you have our number handy should you come across injured or orphaned wildlife.

Do you have questions about our native wildlife? Maybe a pesky possum in your roof, or some concerns with other wildlife? We have a lot of practical answers and may be able to provide cheap and simple solutions to your issues, without any harm done to our wildlife. Feel free to come and ask us.

And best of all we will have nest boxes, made locally by the Alstonville Seventh Day Adventist Men’s Shed, for sale at the very low price of $30 (cost price). So if you want to provide more nesting sites for wildlife in your garden, and/or attract more wildlife, make sure you visit our stall.

Now is the perfect time to become a member or to renew your membership …. with your membership valid until 30 June 2011. As it is our more ‘quiet’ time of the year, this is the best time to start out with wildlife rehabilitation. Our training courses will be running throughout winter too (our next course will be held on 29 August). Refer our ‘Become a member’ page for more information on how to become a member. If you’re an existing member, renewing your membership will ensure you are still covered by our licence and insurance throughout 2010-2011.
