Sponsors
We only receive minimal government funding and the majority of our funding comes from donations and fundraising. We would also like to acknowledge the considerable in-kind support provided by Northern Rivers vets who are always willing to help our native wildlife, providing expert advice and medication without which many of our native animals could not survive.
Both financial and in-kind donations / sponsorships are very much appreciated. If you would like to help us, please email us (refer the ‘Contact us‘ page), or call our hotline on (02) 6628 1866.
Some of our sponsors include:
NSW Office of Environment & Heritage
Ritchies Supa IGA: through their Community Benefit Card Program a percentage of the money spent by customers is donated to a nominated charity such as Northern Rivers Wildlife Carers. Please nominate our group and you will help us every time you shop there. There are two stores in the Northern Rivers (Ballina and Kyogle) and other stores throughout New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland (refer to their website for detailed locations).
Supa IGA Sunshine Estate (Byron Bay): located at the corner of Bayshore Drive & Sunrise Boulevard in Byron Bay, this store donates to local community organisations based on tokens allocated by customers. You can help by requesting your tokens when shopping there, and placing them in the Northern Rivers Wildlife Carers’ community box.
Country Energy: always willing to rescue bats caught on powerlines, or other animals caught / stranded in high places. Many animals have been saved, rehabilitated and released thanks to their assistance.
Lismore Workers Club: give us the use of their conference rooms free of charge for our monthly Committee meetings and some training workshops.
